1. What are Do / Does / Did?
"Do", "does", and "did" are helping verbs (auxiliary verbs). They help us build correct sentences, especially for questions and negatives.
2. Why do we use them?
- To ask questions → Do you understand?
- To make negatives → She does not work
- To emphasize → I do understand
3. When do we use each one?
Do
I / You / We / They
Does
He / She / It
Did
Past (all subjects)
4. How do we use them?
Questions:
Do/Does/Did + subject + base verb
- Do you eat?
- Does he work?
- Did they go?
Negatives:
Subject + do/does/did + not + base verb
- I do not eat
- She does not work
- They did not go

After do / does / did, always use the base verb.
